LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST (LMT) – Part Time to Full Time

Qualifications

Seeking LMT with a certificate of completion from an accredited Massage Therapy institute required. Applicant must currently be licensed by the state of New Mexico Massage Therapy Board and be able to provide professional liability insurance. Minimum 2 years of massage experience preferred.

General Summary

This position is responsible for the delivery of various massage therapy applications of sport and athletic specific techniques. Applicant must possess strength and endurance to provide multiple therapeutic massages to professional football players and athletes from a variety of sports and activities. Applicant must possess experience to assess regular and new clientele needs from light touch to deep tissue techniques, and work closely with chiropractic physician to communicate findings from evaluation and response to therapy involving cases of workman’s compensation injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and veterans with history of injury while in the Armed Forces.

Desired qualifications include advanced/medical therapeutic massage certificates, Kinesio® taping certification, cupping (vaso-pneumatic) certification, cranio-sacral certification.

OFFICE COORDINATOR – Part Time to Full Time

Job Summary

The Office Coordinator oversees the administrative duties of the facility and is responsible for moving the patients through the initial patient intake, check-in and check-out processes. The Office Coordinator must ensure that all procedures are closely followed so that the medical team can concentrate of the well-being of the patients.

Job Duties

The Office Coordinator will:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Manage activities, persons, and patients in front lobby and at front desk, prioritizing people and tasks needing to be addressed without disturbing other patients in treatment.
  • Implement and enforce any special office procedures for patient and staff well-being during times of endemic, epidemic, and pandemic communicable infections.
  • Keep front area neat and orderly at all times, as well as break room and restroom.
  • Answer phone calls within 2 rings.
  • Take clear and concise phone messages and returns calls within 1 hour.
  • Screen calls for relevance of importance to business owners (screen out solicitation calls 99% of the time).
  • Collect co-pay after patient arrives, perform insurance verifications, inquire on previous balance (see EOB), and maintain insurance spreadsheet.
  • Escort chiropractic patients to Dr. Dahl’s treatment room after room is prepared.
  • Inform massage therapists that their patients have checked in and are ready for treatment.
  • Prepare patient treatment note for physician per Dr. Dahl’s direction after patient check-in.
  • Maintain Dr. Dahl’s treatment room after each patient’s therapy, as well as daily laundry.
  • Prepare new patient files, enter all new patient information into medical software (Kareo), enter patient therapy encounter (patient information and billing codes) in Kareo; maintain records for each patient.
  • Arrange appointments, referrals, and authorizations for patients daily.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments daily.
  • Make reminder calls to new patients within 24 – 48 hours for their scheduled appointments daily.
  • Maintain order and file charts, and prepare charts for next day daily.
  • Create new patient packets and charts for every patient daily.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, memos, and forms as requested by physicians and/or owner daily.
  • Copy medical information as requested following proper procedures for HIPAA compliance daily.
  • Maintain inventory levels and submit owner supply order weekly or as needed.
  • Create theme and maintain lobby bulletin board monthly.

  • Preferred candidate has military experience, honorably discharged U.S. Armed Services veteran

Other Duties

  • Daily supervisor of all employees and other staff rotating through the office.
  • Training of all new employees regarding SOAP notes in Kareo and other office procedures.
  • Assist in job interviews and evaluation of prospective employees, including final recommendation on hiring to physician and owner, if requested.
  • Any other duties relating to the business operation of the medical practice that may be assigned by the Business Manager.
  • Other duties as determined by needs of the Business Manager.
