LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST (LMT) – Part Time to Full Time

Qualifications

Seeking LMT with a certificate of completion from an accredited Massage Therapy institute required. Applicant must currently be licensed by the state of New Mexico Massage Therapy Board and be able to provide professional liability insurance. Minimum 2 years of massage experience preferred.

General Summary

This position is responsible for the delivery of various massage therapy applications of sport and athletic specific techniques. Applicant must possess strength and endurance to provide multiple therapeutic massages to professional football players and athletes from a variety of sports and activities. Applicant must possess experience to assess regular and new clientele needs from light touch to deep tissue techniques, and work closely with chiropractic physician to communicate findings from evaluation and response to therapy involving cases of workman’s compensation injuries, motor vehicle accidents, and veterans with history of injury while in the Armed Forces.

Desired qualifications include advanced/medical therapeutic massage certificates, Kinesio® taping certification, cupping (vaso-pneumatic) certification, cranio-sacral certification.

CHIROPRACTIC PHYSICIAN ASSOCIATE – Full Time

Qualifications

Seeking a Chiropractic Physician Associate with a current New Mexico Chiropractic License or New Mexico License application pending approval. Applicants must be in good standing with the New Mexico State Board, have no felony convictions, and no litigation for malpractice currently or in practice history.

General Summary

Our clinic is focused on treating patients using sound chiropractic principals and evidence-based pain-relieving technologies. Physiotherapy skills beyond straight chiropractic therapy must be integrated into practice. The ideal candidate will integrate into our team, working under the supervision of our clinical director, and growing in time to establish his or her own patient base.

The Chiropractic Physician Associate will assist with spinal decompression, low-level light therapy/infrared therapy, instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, physiotherapy, patient exams, and chiropractic adjustments.

Ideal candidates must demonstrate enthusiasm, outstanding oral and written communication, effectiveness and ease in public speaking, a caring and professional demeanor, passion for work, confidence to recruit new patients at network and marketing events, and adaptability to business and clinic protocols. Other Details

Working office hours are expected to be Tuesday through Friday, 9AM to 6PM, with some variance to accommodate patients needing early or late appointments. This position is full-time, 32-40+ hours per week, depending upon patient load and/or community activities in which our business participates. Some weekends may be required, but not routinely. The successful applicant is expected to provide his or her own adjusting table/bench.

OFFICE COORDINATOR – Part Time to Full Time

Job Summary

The Office Coordinator oversees the administrative duties of the facility and is responsible for moving the patients through the initial patient intake, check-in and check-out processes. The Office Coordinator must ensure that all procedures are closely followed so that the medical team can concentrate of the well-being of the patients.

Job Duties

The Office Coordinator will:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Manage activities, persons, and patients in front lobby and at front desk, prioritizing people and tasks needing to be addressed without disturbing other patients in treatment.
  • Implement and enforce any special office procedures for patient and staff well-being during times of endemic, epidemic, and pandemic communicable infections.
  • Keep front area neat and orderly at all times, as well as break room and restroom.
  • Answer phone calls within 2 rings.
  • Take clear and concise phone messages and returns calls within 1 hour.
  • Screen calls for relevance of importance to business owners (screen out solicitation calls 99% of the time).
  • Collect co-pay after patient arrives, perform insurance verifications, inquire on previous balance (see EOB), and maintain insurance spreadsheet.
  • Escort chiropractic patients to Dr. Dahl’s treatment room after room is prepared.
  • Inform massage therapists that their patients have checked in and are ready for treatment.
  • Prepare patient treatment note for physician per Dr. Dahl’s direction after patient check-in.
  • Maintain Dr. Dahl’s treatment room after each patient’s therapy, as well as daily laundry.
  • Prepare new patient files, enter all new patient information into medical software (Kareo), enter patient therapy encounter (patient information and billing codes) in Kareo; maintain records for each patient.
  • Arrange appointments, referrals, and authorizations for patients daily.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments daily.
  • Make reminder calls to new patients within 24 – 48 hours for their scheduled appointments daily.
  • Maintain order and file charts, and prepare charts for next day daily.
  • Create new patient packets and charts for every patient daily.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, memos, and forms as requested by physicians and/or owner daily.
  • Copy medical information as requested following proper procedures for HIPAA compliance daily.
  • Maintain inventory levels and submit owner supply order weekly or as needed.
  • Create theme and maintain lobby bulletin board monthly.

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR – Part Time to Full Time

Job Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) facilitates patient care and movement within the clinic and works in close coordination with clinical staff, ensuring high-quality healthcare is delivered to patients. The PCC must be a reliable, friendly, positive, professional individual who loves to help people feel better; an empathy for patients’ concerns and conditions must always be present. The position requires working part time to full time, Monday through Thursday, plus perhaps rare small shifts on Friday or weekend if working a special event or contract obligation. A PCC must feel comfortable with human interaction and touch for delivery of therapy, and further training will be provided for physiotherapy modalities.

Job Duties

The Patient Care Coordinator will:

  • Greet patients in a courteous and friendly manner after they are checked in at front desk.
  • Ensure new patient intake paperwork is complete, assisting patient with forms if necessary.
  • Assist Doctor with new patient assessments, taking subjective condition and health history notes.
  • Take subjective condition notes for routine patients, inputting into treatment encounter notations.
  • Organize patient charts for the present day’s treatment schedule.
  • Take patient vital signs for new patients or when directed by physician.
  • Assist Doctor with various therapies.
  • Prepare the patient for chiropractic manipulation.
  • Employ patient preparation techniques with mechanical massage or other soft tissue modalities as prescribed by chiropractic physician.
  • Apply e-stim, low level light therapy/infrared, therapeutic ultrasound, and other physiotherapies directed by physician or according to treatment plan.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for use between patient occupation.
  • Ensure chiropractic physician remains on schedule with patient appointments.
  • After therapies are concluded, escort patients to front desk for checkout and assist in scheduling next office visit; facilitate and coordinate followup treatment plan.
  • Begin treatment notes for patient encounter, entering billing codes, etc.
  • Communicate with patients about their status and condition through HIPAA-approved means.
  • Provide personal training and therapeutic exercises for patients and clients, developing necessary fitness plans and outcome goals.
  • Perform patient consultations for nutrition and supplementation with USANA health products and Kangen water.
  • Organize monthly new patient wellness orientations.
  • Write, organize, publish monthly newsletter and blog.
  • Maintain website for currency and necessary changes.
